For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called “Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end. And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Christmas is the miracle of the incarnation of Christ, of the Word made flesh. Let us remember him who came that we might have life, and rejoice that God gave us this, the greatest gift of all.
